Insurance & Fees
We want therapy to feel clear and accessible from the start. Most of our clients use insurance, and our team works with several major plans in New York. We also offer private-pay options. We will review costs clearly before you begin so there are no surprises.
Insurance-friendly care, with clarity from the start
Understanding therapy coverage can feel confusing, especially when you are already carrying a lot.
We aim to make the process simpler. When you reach out, we can help you understand whether we participate with your plan, what your likely costs may be, and which clinicians may be the best fit based on coverage, availability, and what you are looking for in therapy.
Insurance plans we commonly work with
Our practice works with several major insurance networks in New York, including plans through:
- Carelon
- Cigna
- Aetna
Depending on the specific plan, this may include coverage connected to carriers such as:
- EmblemHealth
- HIP
- GHI
- NYSHIP / The Empire Plan
- MVP
- MetroPlus
- Anthem (Empire)
- Meritain
Because coverage can vary by plan and clinician, we will help clarify your options as part of the intake process.
Private-pay therapy
For clients who are not using insurance, we also offer private-pay therapy.
Fees can vary depending on the clinician and the type of service. We will review this clearly with you before you begin so you have a realistic sense of your options.
A note on matching and coverage
All of our therapists accept insurance plans we participate with, but not every clinician is in-network with every plan.
Part of our matching process includes helping you find a clinician whose availability, style, and insurance participation align as closely as possible with what you need.
Out-of-network options
If we are not in-network with your plan, or if you prefer to work with a clinician outside your network, out-of-network benefits may still be available.
Depending on your plan, you may be able to receive partial reimbursement for therapy. We can provide documentation you may need for reimbursement and help you think through whether this route makes sense for you.
What we help you understand before you start
- Whether we participate with your insurance plan
- Possible copays, deductibles, or out-of-pocket costs
- Which clinicians may be available through your coverage
- Whether out-of-network or private-pay options make sense
Our goal is to make this part of the process feel straightforward, not opaque.
Questions about insurance or fees?
You do not need to sort through everything alone. If you have questions about coverage, cost, or getting matched with a therapist who accepts your insurance, we would be glad to help.
