About Clark

Clark Sun offers trauma-informed, relational therapy for adults across New York who are exploring identity, healing emotional pain, and learning how to feel more at home in themselves and their relationships.

His work is especially attuned to clients who have spent much of their lives showing up for others and are now learning how to show up for themselves with more clarity, compassion, and agency.

Especially attuned to

  • Black, LGBTQIA2S+, and gender-diverse clients
  • Anxiety, depression, trauma, and PTSD
  • Burnout in healthcare workers, caregivers, and helping professionals
  • Identity shifts and cultural transitions
  • Attachment wounds, self-worth, and relational patterns

Clark's approach

Therapy with Clark is intentional, collaborative, and grounded. It is not passive, and it is not surface-level. His work supports deeper healing, stronger emotional regulation, healthier boundaries, and a more authentic relationship with self.

He integrates evidence-based and embodied approaches, including:

  • DBT-informed skill building
  • somatic and attachment-informed work
  • mindfulness and values-based practices
  • drama-therapy-informed and creative arts interventions when useful
  • relational and culturally responsive care

A culturally responsive, affirming space

Clark's practice is rooted in affirming, culturally responsive care. He works with a deep respect for identity, community belonging, emotional adaptation, and the search for a more self-defined life.
