View Michelle’s profileSome seasons change more than your schedule. A loss, health concern, caregiving role, new baby, career shift, move, or change in a relationship can reorganize how you understand yourself and what other people need from you.
Peace Love Wellness offers relational, trauma-informed online therapy for adults and couples throughout Staten Island, including St. George, Tompkinsville, Stapleton, New Dorp, Great Kills, Tottenville, and the rest of the borough. Sessions are fully virtual, so care does not require an additional cross-borough trip. We do not have a Staten Island office.
Peace Love Wellness connects Staten Island adults and couples with online therapists for individual and relationship therapy. Matching considers concerns, preferences, schedule, insurance, and clinician availability. Insurance, private-pay, and reduced-fee options are available, with coverage based on plan and therapist. Care can also address grief, caregiving, parenthood, anxiety, burnout, identity changes, trauma, and relationship stress.
A transition can affect your role in a family, your relationship to your body, your sense of time, and the future you thought you were moving toward. Even a wanted change can bring grief, anxiety, resentment, or the unsettling feeling that you no longer recognize your life.
Therapy offers space to understand what the transition is asking of you without rushing toward a positive lesson. We can make room for what was lost, what is still uncertain, the protective patterns that become louder under stress, and the relationships that are changing with you.
Therapy may be useful when you are navigating:
Individual therapy can help you process what has changed while staying connected to the parts of you that still need attention. The work may include grief, guilt, boundaries, uncertainty, identity, the body, family expectations, or the feeling that your own needs have disappeared behind a role. Our approach is relational and trauma-informed, with room for both practical strain and the emotional meaning beneath it.
Explore therapy for life transitions →A major transition can expose differences in how partners handle stress, responsibility, money, family, intimacy, or uncertainty. Relationship therapy creates a non-blaming place to understand the cycle that develops around those differences and to make decisions with more honesty and care. We work with monogamous couples, LGBTQIA+ partners, and ethically non-monogamous relationships.
